Hi Gang

Wow it has been a warm week. Many of my 121 clients have sensibly rescheduled their dog’s training sessions because it’s not fair to the dogs to expect them to learn in extreme weather. PLUS, it is a waste of a session, when we can postpone to a better day and get more done.

So it has been a quiet week here at Locke Towers.

I turned my attention to what we CAN do instead. Fun Not Fear® Club members can see this week’s video at the end of this newsletter.*

I began writing my second book. Titled “The Fun Not Fear® Club II: The Dogparents”, it will be about YOUR end of the lead and coping strategies for when life with your floofer is difficult. I’m rather excited!

*CONFESSION - I did a boo-boo on the Wednesday Live, and forgot to turn my mic on, and recorded the whole thing in silence. So I had to re-record and re-upload the information. The video now works!

Not Dog Related But …

Whalers are targeting whales again. Paul Watson got arrested for his attempt to put a stop to it through protesting.

He has protected whales, and the planet, all of his life and is now an older man.

He now faces extradition to Japan and prison for his anti-whaling protests over a decade ago (at his age he will likely die there). He should be freed.

Read all about it here and sign this protest if you agree.

Spotted and sharing.

Here is a wonderful article for those of you on Facebook, by my brilliant friend Andrew Hale:

‘Positive’ training doesn’t work for all dogs

The amount of times we hear this, when it is not a method issue, but an issue around the skill level of the person doing the training is incredible. Science is science. If you correctly reinforce a behaviour, you will get more of that behaviour.
