March is upon us. The daffodils are blooming. The rest of the garden is a muddy dog destroyed slushy pit though!
Hi Gang
It is getting that time of year again, when we have to make our way bravely back out past the back door, and start to navigate the muddy pits and overgrown weed beds that are our gardens.
Or is that just mine?
Anyone with a dog can attest to the mud, that leaves its trail through the house each year, no matter how much we clean. And as the grass starts to grow again, we now are faced with the “To mow or not to mow” decision every time we have a day off.
It doesn’t help that both my neighbour’s beautiful, dogless gardens look like something off of a show home.
Weedkiller is a bit of a no-no when you have pets, as even the “pet safe” once you let it dry for a few hours is still pretty full of chemicals and revolting things that Twyla is determined to eat. The sopping wet mud at least makes it easier to pull those out.
Waiting for a dry day seems pointless since the rain won't let up. So I wonder, how do you all manage your gardens, when they have been floofed by your floofers all winter?
Do you pull on your wellies and blitz it all in one go? Or do you potter when you feel guilty enough to do it?
Ai Cock-up of the week
![A humorous and delightful scene of a dog having the time of its life in a muddy puddle. The dog, medium-sized with a coat that's now a patchwork of mud splatters, is captured mid-splash, with droplets of mud flying in all directions. Its expression is one of pure joy and abandon, with its tongue out and eyes sparkling with excitement. The muddy puddle is in the middle of a grassy field, evidence of recent rain. The background shows a few more puddles and a trail leading up to this main scene, hinting at the dog's playful journey through the mud. This image captures the essence of carefree fun, showcasing the dog's adventurous spirit and the simple pleasures of a good splash in the mud.
