Door Barking and Neutering For Behaviour Advice
Your Wednesday Fun Not Fear® Club live questions answered.
Hi Gang,
Today I answered a couple of questions from a lady who wanted to know about how to stop her dog’s door barking, about high arousal levels when out and about, and whether or not to get her boy neutered. Club Members will find the video at the end of this newsletter!
In other news, I know a lot of my USA readers will be quite upset today and I’m here if you need to vent. Believe me when I say that you are seen and heard. You have every right to feel all the things you are feeling.
In other news still … I want mention Big Bob. Big Bob was a beautiful old collie we know, who sadly had an episode because of the fireworks last night, and today was put to sleep. He was just one of many thousands of domestic and wild animals that will have suffered as a result of people’s selfishness and stupidity and there is no excuse for it.
It makes me so very angry.
Abandoned nests and young, animals having seizures and heart attacks from the fear, cats and dogs escaping in a blind panic to get away from the terror.
Why? I don’t understand why people do it.
There is absolutely no need whatsoever for us to be letting off explosions in the sky, especially loud ones, just because we think they look pretty, knowing what we are doing to those beings around us who do not understand why are under threat. Even with the quiet fireworks, the debris and the burning rubbish falling from the sky means that many animals are injured too.
There are millions of things that look pretty that do not involve causing so much grief and suffering. Please think about those you affect with your actions before you perform them.
Sleep well Big Bob, you are a good boy.
